Dear Urban Decay,
I write this letter to you to express my displeasure for the Primer Potion packaging. I know I'm not the first to come across this, but for such a magnificent product, the packaging is atrocious. I understand that the 'potion' lends itself to a specially shaped container, but this is ridiculous. I'd heard rumors of people cutting up their bottles to get the excess prodcut, but I didn't think there could be that much product worth cutting the bottle for. How wrong I was. Now, I've had this bottle of UDPP for more than 6 months; when I dipped the brush into the bottle, it seemed like I was running out. Since it's not the cheapest product available, I want to get my money's worth, so I did the unthinkable and cut the bottle. People did not lie; it was filled with product on the edges. The design of the bottle and brush only allow the user to grab product down the middle, all the product on the sides would be wasted. Also, the brush doesn't go down to the bottom; the bottle narrows to a point where the brush would never reach, but there was product beneath that. So, I urge you, Urban Decay, PLEASE revamp the packaging for the Primer Potion and I will sing its virtues for life.
XOXO,
A frustrated UDPP user
Just look at all that Primer Potion left behind!
Two cuts later and popping the bottom off, the container is empty. Honestly, the brush is not getting to the product at the bottom.
I put the product into an empty jar that used to contain a sample of MAC Pigment. It's filled to the brim.
For comparison purposes, here's a regular sized pigment container next to the sample size.
