One of my guilty pleasure television shows was (and will be) Project Runway. I'm never going to be able to afford high-fashion items, but the process behind such creativity amazes me. I would be interested to see a cosmetics version of something like Project Runway, but I think the scientific nature of cosmetics would not be conducive to such a fast-paced show.
With that being said, one of the best known characters from Project Runway is season 4 winner, Christian Siriano. It is really something to see the talent that this (now) 24 year old possesses. He was 21 when the show was shot - just wow. His tagline, "That's Fierce" was so funny and has since become quite the catch-phrase. Even if I originally found him a tad bit, okay, a lot, cocky - his talent is unmistakable.
Now comes word that he is working that connection with Heidi Klum to produce a line of makeup with Victoria's Secret. Have you tried the VS Makeup collection? I have a few items, generally purchased at the semi-annual sale for under $5 and I'm not too impressed with what I've purchased. It may just be the colors I get are probably left over for a reason, so perhaps Christian's collection would be better. It'll include 5 eyeshadows at $14 each; 3 Lip glosses at $14 each; Black eyeliner for $12, Bronzer-highlighter trio and brush for $24 and $32 respectively; and lastly, a ruffled bag for $16.
I'd like to check out the colors before I offer an opinion; the collection is supposed to be available in August.
