Yesterday was a look into some new trends of polish with OPI's suede formula. Today, it's traditional with a twist. While I don't have any acutal swatches, it's a color that I'm pretty sure will sell out for one reason: it's Chanel. As a lover of all things fashion and beauty related, I've come to accept the fact that I will never own any clothing that says Chanel on the label, but at $20-$30 a bottle, I can afford a bottle a polish every now and three. My current collection includes three shades and I think Chanel polishes are lovely, but I'm personally going to skip these two. They're perfectly lovely colors but not unique or special enough for me to bite the bullet. Chanel is generally a more tranditional brand, but this mint green color is Chanel stepping out of the box. From all the swatches I've seen, Jade and Jade Rose have some shimmer in them that is so subtle, you'd only see them in direct, bright sunlight. If you're going to purchase one, I'd suggest Jade.
You'll have to hurry though because the polishes are limited edition and only available at Chanel.com or at Chanel Boutiques.

If you get the chance to go to a MAC store that carries PRO products, one of the products you should check out is the Mixing Medium. There are a couple of different formulas; they serve different purposes. The alcohol based mixing medium should not be used on the eyes, but is best for thinning out the face/body foundations. I picked up a tube of the mixing medium that'll turn a pigment into a liner. The medium has the consistency of a gel. It's better to have a little more pigment versus the medium; you can always add more mixing medium if the consistency isn't to your liking.
Here's my first attempt at turning Gilded Green pigment into a liner. I wasn't trying to do much besides try the mixing medium, so the rest of the look is quite simple.

Makeup time! Here's a step by step look I did a few days ago. You'll need:
Eyes: Urban Decay Primer Potion, MAC Soft Ocre Paint Pot, MAC Shadestick in Lucky Jade, MAC Tempting Quad (LE), Bobbi Brown Shimmer Eyeshadow in Forest Lancome Eyeshadows in Designer and Daylight, MAC Eyeliner in Mystery, Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara
Face: Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium Plus, MAC Blush in Xrocks (LE)

After applying UDPP and Soft Ocre, I used Lucky Jade to intensify Sharp from the Tempting Quad.
The Tempting Quad was released with the Cult of Cherry collection. Sharp is a cool color, even if it's a bit shocking. It's much sheerer than it appears in the pan, so if you have it, don't be afraid to use it. Moving along.

Bobbi Brown Forest

Blend, blend, blend. Sharp becomes much more of an accent color.

Blending a little more and adding Tempting to the mix.

Mystery Eyeliner and mascara complete the look.
